19.04.2011 - Pick 'n Pay Clothing
I seem to be having a lot of luck with Pick 'n Pay today... I also went to the Hyde Park Pick 'n Pay and found these tops for R29 each!!! Well, they weren't supposed to be R29 each but they were on the shelf with the R29 tops so I argued with them until they gave them to me for that price (SO not like me... but I'm desperate for cheap winter clothes!!) :)
19.04.2011 - 17h00 - Siphiwe Tshabalala
Ethan and I stopped off at the Pick 'n Pay along William Nicole Drive on the way home... and found Siphiwe Tshabalala at the bakery! I asked if we could get a picture with him. Ethan was so star struck! (was very cute). Ethan immediately came home and ticked "Meet a famous soccer player" off his 2011 goals. Awesome!

We're doing a hair feature for our next magazine issue and we got given a couple of hair products to shoot... this one has been calling my name for a couple days now... not sure if I should try it. I have INCREDIBLY curly / messy hair and LOVE trying new products out... but it DOES sound like quite a complicated process... hmmmmmm

We all went out for breakfast this morning... I momentarily forgot and ate breakfast this morning at home... then ate more breakfast with the work girls. Am stuffed! We went to Life in Hyde Park... really nice. Delicious food, and they write little messages on your coffee. Very cute.

I've been helping Ethan learn for his Zulu test today... have all these words floating in my head now... and now I need to find some info for his technology class... I'm going to be so bloody intelligent by the end of this year!
And no... I didn't do it ALL for him... I'm going to make him cut out the pics and re-write the info...

Went to soccer club. Sat for half an hour. No one arrived. Drove home in the rain. Glad to be going home. Ate toast. Learnt Zulu. Nice
17.04.2011 - 08h00 - Soccer Tournament
I had to wake up at 06h30 on a Sunday morning!!! to find out if the soccer tournament was still on (rainy weather)... it was so jumped in the shower then dashed off to fetch my mom and then Ethan. Ethan had slept over at a friends house... think I gave the friends mom a small heart attack when I told her I was on my way to fetch Ethan (the kids were still sleeping)... she was so sweet, she even packed Ethan a little snack/breakfast. Thank you Nicola!
Needless to say, I was dreading spending the day on a soccer field as it was so bloody cold. But I managed to spend some time sitting in the car watching the game, then the sun came out and it was a really wonderful day.
Ethan's team won every single game the played and didn't let a single goal in! Well done boys!!

Ethan had just kicked the ball here for a penalty shot. My mom was sure he wouldn't get it in because of the amount of kids standing infront of the goal be he did!! He was so cute... after he scored he pulled off his shirt and ran around the feild topless swinging his shirt around in the air (think he's seen it on TV) - was so incredibly awesome! Was so proud of him xoox

16.04.2011 - Muffins, Sherry, Popcorn, Jump Start
What a rainy day - perfect for bed and DVD's... instead my day consisted of baking muffins (carrot and ginger YUM), sipping on some sherry to warm the soul (it was just after 12pm!!) and laundry.
When I got back to my car a realized that my battery was flat... I'd left my lights on AGAIN (I want to blame the rain but am now thinking I should probably blame the sherry!?) Anyway, I've discovered there are some really sweet, helpful people in this world. Thank you Farrah for offering to help, thank you Karen for offering to look pretty next to me, thank you security guard for helping me with jumper cables, thank you BMW woman who didn't know where your battery was (it's the thought that counts) and lastly thank you man and woman who helped me start my car again (who I'd previously been giggling at in Hyde Park cos I thought you two looked pretty dodgy - I take it all back)!
Karen and I then met in Hyde Park for a movie. We watched Water for Elephants. It was a really sweet movie but nothing to write home about... or maybe I just wasn't in a soppy mood...

14.04.2011 - Teeth, Bubbles, UFO's
My day started with me going to the dentist to get a crown (lovely)... got there at 9, waited half an hour, got told it wasn't ready. Went home. Went back to dentist at 10h30... came out looking like a lopsided drooling beast 9 (took pics but they have been deleted!!!)...
Spent the day at Neil Kirby's studio...
This is a cool little product (the jug)... it has a rubber bit that rests on the forehead so that when you wash your kids hair no water runs into their eyes... we decided it would be great in winter... you can lie in a steaming hot bath, drinking your glass/bottle of wine and every time you get a little cold you pour a hot jug of water over your head to warm you up. Nice!
The shoot went on till around 6pm so by the time I got home it was dark. As I pulled into the complex I saw about 8 red lights in the sky... thought they were red flowing stars... I now think they were UFO's??!!
