02.02.2011 - 19h30 - The CARD!

OK. We went to Sandton yesterday to do some birthday shopping for Ethan's best friend, Bjorn. Ethan saw this card in CNA and said his dad had bought it for him for his 10th birthday. Now, the problem with this card in that Ethan and I interpret it VERY differently.

My interpretation of the card...
...is very simple. A 10 year old has all these signs on his door because he doesn't want his irritating mom to come into his room. Especially because the room is a disgusting pigsty and he knows his mom with turn into a raging monster and scream at him to tidy it up. The card says "come out, come out whereever you are!" because you can't even find your 10 year old under all this mess!

Ethan's interpretation of the card...
Before I write it I must just let you know that this was apparently told to him by someone very close to him - someone he really looks up to and believes tells him the truth - will not mention a name. He believes it so much that he got a little angry with me when I argued it...
...the age of 10 is the easiest time to die... (please note the signs on the door)

I was so amazed I snuck a photo of the card so I could get some more interpretations of the card from all of you...

Charlene's interpretation of the card...
...the 10 year old is coming out of the closet

  2. Whoever told Ethan that - mentioning no names - needs a snotklap
