Lightning struck our place last night and blew the lights. When they eventually came on I discovered that both our TV (Karen's old TV) and the DSTV were dead! There are lots of things that could have blown... like the big ugly fish tank that holds the big fat ugly fish (actually getting quite fond of the fish these days)... but it had to be the TV!!! I think it's Kharma kicking me up the ass for a) not helping behind the counter petrol man and b) not helping Ethan look up his words in the Afrikaans dictionary!
Anyway, one good thing came out of it... I decided this was the perfect time to sort out all the machines that are sitting on the TV stand. There's an old DVD player that no longer works that I left there because there though of trying to sort though all those wires exhausted me. I finally did it and felt something rattling around inside it. Took my screwdriver (I swear it's 2011's best buy so far!) and opened the machine up... found this Ben 10 DVD inside. Feel quite bad now... have spent the last 2 years thinking Ethans friend stole it (had to pay DVD hire store R200 bucks for it!)... Happy Birthday Dylan!
