I was super excited to go to this years Heat Hot 100 party - had many a crazy night at this event in the past when I worked at Heat. I decided to do the responsible thing and catch a taxi there so that I wouldn't be drinking and driving (the 1st sign I have gotten old). It cost me R150 to get there and another R100 to get into the party, this shocked me (the 2nd sign that I have gotten old).
Once in I felt incredibly under dressed next to the hundreds of hot little girls in their 20's (the 3rd sign that I have gotten old). I remember turning to a friend and saying in a sad, little tearful voice, "this is exaclty how it happens in the movies... you hit a certain age and suddenly you realise that you've become invisible!" *sob* *sob*
I could have done naked flick-flacks across the room and no body would have seen me. It was bad :(
