I had planned to eat my leftover soup but instead got my rubber  arm twisted by Nikki into getting pizza with her. We walked and got a takeaway from Allora - they're pretty fancy and expensive but their pizza is made with fresh ingredients - YUM! Thanks Niks

08.06.2012 - Happy Friday

Things to be happy about today:

1. It's Friday
2. I have no email in my inbox
3. I can sleep in tomorrow
4. I still have some money in my bank account
5. I have a WHOLE WEEK off next week (if they let Ethan go on school tour :)

UPDATE: Something else to be happy about - Ethan's soccer club is top of their league so far :)

Wanted a chocolate and a cup of coffee... too lazy to do the LONG stair walk to the kitchen. Found this in the vending machine - coffee infused bar-one - problem SOLVED - nice!

Ethan asked me to please find him music for his BB... it's SO hard to find "cool" music that isn't going to turn my son into a swearing-woman beating-crack head!!

This song made me choke on my coffee and almost fall off my chair - listen here - if this is cool then I'm definitely a nerd!

06.06.2012 - 18h30 - Sandton vs Crusader Girls

 

Last night the Sandton Park Football Club played against the Crusader girls. Now, I'm ALL for girls getting to play but I REALLY think it's unfair that U11 boys have to play girls older then them. These girls were so tall - and they had BOOBS! Boobs eye level with little 11 year old boys... so not fair!

Anyway, the girls won 3-2. It was the most exciting, fast paced game I've ever seen them play. They were amazing. Well done boys... who knows, maybe one day you'll be dating these older pretty girls :)

05.06.2012 - 12h27 - Hard life

They are renovating out kitchen so now we need to use the one on the third floor. However, we can't get out our front door (because they're building) so we have to use the fire escape stairs (they don't go up to the third floor).

So if you want a cup of coffee you need to:
- Go down 1 flight of stairs
- Walk down the passage
- Walk up 2 flights of stairs

We're all going to either a) have really hot legs and bums or b) kill each other from lack of caffeine

02.06.2012 - 20h00 - Jolly mad

I went with two school friends (Sally and Anne) to Jolly.

I usually only get picked up by really old drunk men at Jolly - it's wonderful for the ego. This night however saw us being picked up by really young little boys - even better for the ego.

This is Lance. Lance fell in love with Sally. Lance wanted to marry Sally. We made Lance buy Sally a rose and us plenty of drinks. I'm starting to think that making a drunk man buy drinks is bad kharma... will let you know...

These are the young rugby boys. The one posing with Anne went into a 20 minute state of shock when he heard how old we were. Nice.

What I've learned from this experience:

1) Don't make eye contact with the drunk guy - he will come over (or start humping a stool as one does in Jolly)
2) Don't hand your phone over to a stranger - they will scan your barcode and make you their BBM contact
3) Young boys are really crude, rude & gropey - make sure you have some kung-fu moves handy
4) You don't have to take money with you to Jolly - just find the drunk guy and you're sorted with drinks for the night
5) Make sure you're not the last two females in the place - drunk men tend to block the exit and not allow you to leave

Met a friend for drinks at the Colony arms after work. His work mates were there and thought we were on a date (if we ever dated we would land up fighting so much one would surely kill the other!!!!!!) so sent this tot glass and candle over... was quite funny... thanks for the drink people

We heard whisperings that there were free ice-creams being handed out so us girls went on the hunt... unfortunately they're ALL FINISHED :( and we came back empty handed...

I get very excited when a new month arrives as I then get to sit back with a cup of coffee and read my in-depth monthly astrology report... BUT THE SITE IS DOWN :( Bugger

On a more positive note... I got a new hair straightener! - within 24 hours of posting my "ad". How would I ever live without Facebook and friends... thanks Kerryn!! (me and the old drunk men at Jolly thank you) xoox

31.05.2012 - I'm finally a real mom! :)

Camilla is always coming to me to show me the amount of random stuff that collects in her bag - my bag is small and really tidy so I could never relate UNTIL NOW!!

Camilla - I found Ethan's tooth in my wallet's change compartment whilst I was fishing around in there for vending machine money :))))) I'm a real mom now!

31.05.2012 - 07h36 - Kittens make me happy.sad.happy

I've been a little sad lately and it's all because I'm afraid I may have to find another home for my beautiful kittens :(

I took them in even though I knew our complex doesn't allow pets as they were covered in fleas and staying in a little bedroom with 6 other cats and I wanted them to have a better home.

The other day the complex sent everyone letters explaining the complex rules and the one rule was about having pets. They said too many people now have cats and everyone has until 31 July to either a) move out or b) find their cats new homes otherwise they will come in and remove the cats themselves.

I've been looking for a new place to stay but (very embarrassed to admit this) I just can't afford anything else. I pay a ridiculously low rent at the moment - the landlord really likes me :)

So now I'm a little lost as to what to do. I can't move BUT I really love these damn kittens and I want to tear up every time I think about having to find them a new home.

So... for now... I'm ignoring the problem - very grown up of me :)

I'm so easy to please - give me nail polish (this pretty one is called Ole Caliente from Essie's spring collection) and it immediately brightens my day - think I'm already tired of winter!

25.05.2012 - 15h29 - Planning time

Seeing as I'm being a responsible adult and not going out this weekend :( I'm going to start planning for my irresponsible weekend NEXT weekend...

I'm hoping it's another girls night out. We now go by the name of Johnny's Angels (Johnny, our taxi driver said we looked like Charlie's Angels when we were walking towards him - good boy Johnny).

We have done Giles and Great Dane and I'm now open to suggestions of where 3 single ladies can go for a night of fun and flattery...

A friend suggested I rather change at work rather then in the car. The reason I haven't before is because I didn't want to bump into the stylish Grazia people wearing this... but I did it and now I just don't care :)

I fotgot to pack a short sleeve and can't run in longs so borrowed Ethan's spare soccer shirt... I felt like a total groupie - but I did get a "hey sweetie" from the U18's - NICE!

I was going over Ethan's exams (he's doing REALLY well - I'm going to be broke after this report) and I spotted this - LOVE IT! To be honest, at first I didn't realise that thing on the left was an arm - I thought it was something ruder then that...

I was EXHAUSTED driving home yesterday and thus not in the best of moods - until I spotted this sign - I couldn't stop laughing!!

Either a) I'm pronouncing this word incorrectly b) I'm incredibly immature or c) I'm slowly losing my mind but it's FUNNY!!! hahaha
