07/11 Sunday

Sunday morning I took Ethan to his soccer prize giving. It didn't go too well - he didn't get the trophy he really, really wanted. The rest of the day of "damage control" - there was bowling, arcade games, seafood (even got Ethan to try his first oyster) - he cheered up and we landed up having a great day out! And I bumped into Peter, who I haven't seen in ages! Nice.

06/11 Saturday

I spent most of the day being incredibly lazy. I slept and ate and slept some more. Then when I finally decided to get off my lazy ass and go for a walk... it rained. Wonderful day though, just what I needed...

Let's see... I bought a funky pair of sunnies from a guy that got down on his knee and begged me to buy them from him... they are wonky...

I looked at beautiful rainbows, sunsets and got ready for my night out. Fun night!

This morning I took my car to KIA as there' s a high-pitched screaching sound everytime I start my car. I hate cars - I know nothing about them. Werner, who is a very sweet man but knows nothing about personal space fixed it for me (and didn't charge me) AND he managed to sort out this other annoying sound that I've been hearing since I bought it. Thank you!!

Yesterday evening I decided it was time to do a little pampering. I found the brightest, comfiest place to sit and do my nails... the empty bath... Ethan found this quite...weird

My friends are off to Benmore for lunch and I turned down the invite... I was strong enough to say no and stay here and eat my salad (I'm scared if I go to a shopping centre I might go on a spending spree...)

Why do people leave banana peels lying around on the ground at work? Sis. I already slipped this morning walking into Ethan's school! On the way down I swung my arm out to the side and whacked a little girl who quickly ran away from me down the corridor. Shame... Good start to the day :))

I barely managed to drive myself and Ethan home I was so exhausted (really not used to working this hard!). My plan was to get through the door and crash but instead I got a second wind and baked a whole bunch of banana muffins???

I chopped my fringe off last night... can blame it on two things:

1) Ate too many sweet and was on a sugar high (same as being drunk)
2) Watched Prince of Presia and saw how pretty the leading lady looked with a short fringe

Ooops!

31/10 Sunday - Halloween

The party went well. Ethan's friends came, ate lots of sweets, annoyed the neighbors... Karen and Charlene came to keep me company and help me make a braai. I'm very proud of us - we managed to braai boerewors perfectly! Good job.

30/10 Saturday - Tickey afternoon

Ethan's school had their annual Tickey afternoon. Usually I would walk around with Ethan but he's now at that age where I am not wanted for my company, only my money. So I spent the afternoon walking around taking pictures of other people's kids. I did spoil myself with a R5 slice of cake and was really getting into it when a gust of wind chucked it off my plate... this made me very, very sad. Note to self: take another adult with me or a good book next year...

After getting home from a LONG day at work Ethan decided to hide in my cupboard and scare the shit out of me... unfortunatley for him he got tangled in my dress and made me wet myself laughing and not from fright!

Ended the day off with a shot of sherry and a long soak in the tub.
